I'd be concerned this year that winning the Carling cup would actually harm our league form - as rather than it boosting us, it causes us to relax a little (since we'd already be qualified for Europe), and it would distract us from the league. And if we lost the final, well, I just hope the effect would be to make the players push on in the league rather than lose confidence :-S That's interesting!
