that's ironic too since the platform he uses wasn't specifically designed for blogging and doesn't come with any native commenting functionality. i believe he uses the most popular extension, and it is very nice, but won't work here.

ironically, you also reached the limit of the threaded replies (4) there, which is probably the alternative to actually quoting people. i don't know if you've ever seen a chain of comments that doesn't impose a reasonable limit, but it doesn't take too many comments to turn in a total mess.

i'll keep looking at it. there's lots of things to consider.

that's exactly how it reads in the financial statements. it's just like a computer or any other asset apparently.

i would presume that if you negotiate a new contract then you'll bundle in the signing on bonus and agent's fees etc into the residual value and re-calculate the depreciation over the term of the new contract.

it is weird, but that's how you can end up making a profit on a player when you sell him for less than you paid for him.

i just looked into it, apparently no smilies in disqus i'm afraid, but people have been asking for them for a couple of years now.

i'm in the process of porting a blog from blogger over to this platform and it uses a similar comment management system to this called intense debate. i'll see how that goes and then decide what to do when the i ship the the re-build live here.
