I hope the stories regading MON are pure bull$hit.
We need him now more than ever.
My wish is for Randy to prove he is willing to spend in making things stronger and insist that we buy and buy quality.

as for the MON thing, i can almost guarantee that this is exactly what happened...

ian robathan dragged it out of VT and published it on his blog yesterday. damo followed suit today. both did so by wrapping it in dismissive commentary to distance themselves from it.

both blogs get fed through newsnow. the next thing you know, it's on talksport and the daily mirror, justified with language such as "talk in the midlands".

after that, it ignited on twitter. i've watched it all develop.

unbelievably, ian has written yet another post on the subject, trying to deflect blame to an old story in the people.

there is absolutely no integrity out there. i really am disgusted by what i've seen.

what is it about villa fans? there's a whole bunch out there who seem determined to absolutely destroy any chance we have of moving forward.

unless i missed it, the guzan story is fresh, although i must confess that i can't figure out why he would have conducted an interview recently and who that might have been with.

perhaps i did miss it first time, but it was only included so that i could provide an expanded quote. i don't think he's said anything out of line or anything to be concerned about, so i wanted to address that here.

carew? i too think that it's as likely that he'll play out his contract as anything else. he's too old to extend his contract a further 12 months, i doubt we're overly concerned about his residual value and he's definitely still got some goals left in him.

on the other hand. i can't see heskey getting shipped (unfortunately) and he's on a long contract for his age. gabby's going nowhere and nathan's going to be a clear back up option next season.

therefore, if carew stays, i'm not convinced there would be much attention given to bringing in the striker we so desperately need.

I don't believe this MON rumour either.
It's recycled from old stuff, as are most of these stories and the timing just seems wrong.
A game away from another final and still in with (albeit a very small) sniff of top 4?
Nah.

The Fonz
"my mum and dad have told me about him."

I feel even older now :-(

Brad?

Recycled crap again.

Carew?

I read he "had" to sign a new contract or go this summer.

Of course, the fact that he might just play out his contract and go on a free never occurred to that particular author.

Yawn, yawn basically, lately, when it comes to the press.
