Villa have been very competitive in recent seasons in the reserve league and I have often pondered is this a sign that we have a strong batch of young players coming trough. Unfortunately my conclusion is that other clubs don't put as much effort as us into the reserve league and that we don't have an exceptional bunch of youngsters coming trough just the usual one or two bright prospects. I think villa fans are also under the illusion that we have loads of talented youngsters that are not being given their head by O'Neill when this is not the case.
