really it stems from the fact i keep running into this meme that says City have to offload a dozen players. that then leads the various scamps on to attaching their own rumours. milner for ireland, swp, whoever. it “makes sense” to them because of this misunderstanding that there’s going to be a firesale at city.

i was curious myself about what sort of shape city were in, so having done the research, i thought i’d share. just the way i roll.

seriously though, my assumption, since the “top four” should be well used to this since it’s been a standard of european squads for some time, is that city would be in the worst shape.

if they’re OK, and they’re not perfect, but they can easily cope, then everyone else should be fine.

But my understanding is that Citeh have no problem meeting the requirements.

If it’s that they need Milner, I don’t think they do really.
Which goes back to “are they trying to stop other clubs by buying their best players?”.

they’re specifically not targeting nationality though to avoid falling foul of EU laws.
