Whooooooo?

Genting is a Malaysian company whose core business is built around casinos and tourism, although they also own property and energy businesses amongst other things. They reportedly own the largest number of casinos in the UK, including the Circus Casinos in Hurst Street and Star City.

Their primary areas of business are Asia, United Kingdom and the United States. Their turnover last year was $41 billion which is similar to well known companies such as Cisco, Kraft Foods and MetLife.

Aston Villa Football Club
Aston Villa are pleased to announce a new partnership with Genting, the leading international leisure and hospitality group and the UK’s largest operator of casinos.

The partnership will be for an initial two-year period, beginning from July 1 2011 and covering the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons.

As part of the agreement, the Genting Casinos logo will feature on the home and away Villa shirts and the company will enjoy a host of sponsorship benefits.

In addition, Villa and Genting will support each other’s activities locally and internationally.

The key to this will be when we find out the value of this deal. It should match FXPro at the min, any less and then serious questions should be asked

Jim and im randy, whilst I completely agree, I’ll bet we’ll all be moaning when we don’t bring in the much needed keeper etc that we need because we don’t have the funds? It’s fine for someone like Barca, but we are struggling to compete with the top 6 at the moment as it is, we need every revenue stream we can get. In 10 years time, when we’re kings of europe, we can go back to Acorns :-)
