Site Changes

Hopefully you’ve noticed the new decor and if you’re not using Internet Explorer then all should look pretty much as I intended. Internet Explorer users may notice one or two quirks, but they must be used to that using Internet Explorer. I’ve still got plenty of work to do, so I’ll keep the IE glitches in mind and try to find a fix along the way, but if you are using Internet Explorer and there’s something wrong on the site that’s really bugging you then please let me know.

The main change behind the scenes was to move the wallpapers into their own mini-site. There’s a multitude of reasons for this, but running the blog, wallpaper and news sections in their own environment just makes sense from a performance perspective. Most of the wallpapers have been transferred, but not quite all. I have a crude redirect going on at the moment and I’ll be putting something more sophisticated in place, but it might be worth updating any bookmarks or links you have to the wallpapers.

You may have also noticed in the menu bar at the top and in the footer that there’s a couple more sections in the pipeline. I’m still working on those, so I won’t tell you what they are just yet, but they were also a factor in the need for a redesign.

So that’s it for now, I won’t bore you with all the techie stuff, just bare with me for the next couple of weeks or so while I tweak things into final position. I appreciate your patience!
