This is it then; the last game of the season. It might something of a dead rubber for us, although I’d like to think the players would be keen to finish the season on a high note. Liverpool fans will be hoping for a win at Villa Park and a loss for Tottenham at White Hart Lane. So, the exact opposite of us then.

So they have bugger all on the bench, we have Albrighton Gabby and the crazy Emile Heskey.

We have our “strongest” team and they are missing Johnson Gerrard Maxi Carroll. Encouraging. I’d love us to turn them over.

Why is Bradley, Heskey and Pires on the bench, who most likely won’t be here next season, for a game with nothing to play for? It really baffles me. Why not give some of the younger players (Herd, the Fonz, Bannan etc.) some gametime when we have the oppertunity? I can see the argument that we should finish the season off in style, and I agree with that, but they could atleast have made the bench.
