January Exits/Arrivals

  • Tiago Ilori’s loan was cancelled and he was recalled by parent club Liverpool.
  • 7th Jan – Joe Cole’s loan to Coventry was made permanent.
  • 27th Jan – Philippe Senderos, who was not listed in September’s Premier League 25-man squad, agreed to a contract termination.

Loan Details

  • Callum Robinson joined Bristol City on a season long loan, but was back at Villa by Christmas. In January he joined Preston for the remainder of the season.
  • Janoi Donacien went to Wycombe for a month before joining Newport County until the end of the year, later extended until the end of the season.
  • Nathan Baker joined Bristol City in the Championship for all of the 2015/16 season. He had initially kept his squad number 2, but that was later re-issued to Tiago Ilori who joined on loan from Liverpool before being recalled in January having seen almost no playing time at Villa.
  • Jed Steer joined Huddersfield for a month, extended a month, then extended through to the end of the season.
  • Joe Bennett went to Bournemouth until the end of the year, then Sheffield Wednesday until the end of the season.
  • Kevin Toner spent a month at Kidderminster.
  • José Ángel Crespo went to Rayo Vallecano for the second half of the season.
  • Lewis Kinsella went to Kidderminster during February for a month, later extending until the end of the season.
  • Jerrell Sellars went to Wycombe during March until the end of the season.
