I know I’m in danger of turning this into the Michael Bradley blog, but US Soccer are doing a great job of putting out videos like this with their national team players. In this one, which is far more in-depth than the last one, Bradley reflects on life in England and the key differences to playing in Germany.

Bradley discusses the different emphasis on tactics, speed of the game, his frustration at not getting to play, but his pragmatism and appreciation for the life of a professional footballer. There’s also some interspersed footage from training, which is always interesting.

As far as Bradley becoming a permanent player at Villa; word had emerged from Germany that a clause turning the loan into a permanent deal was being exercised by Aston Villa, presumably a decision made by Gerard Houllier some time ago. Another story later claimed that Borussia Mönchengladbach, under new manager Lucien Favre, were keen to keep him. The latest on the grapevine is that an extension on the deadline for a decision has been requested and granted until we can install our own new manager and he will get final say.

Bradley, along with Eric Lichaj, is currently with the United States national team as they compete in the 2011 Gold Cup. He put in an excellent performance during their first game, a comfortable 2-0 win over Canada, and should be a central part of tomorrow’s match against Panama in Tampa.

Hope he stays, always been impressed with him playing for the U.S, he would more likely have more of a chance next season after the clear-out. All depends on the new manager I suppose, but I presume David Moyes would want to keep him ;)

Yep, you’re starting to look like a Bradley fan Dan.

Any chance of commenting on something that’s miles more important though?

I know speculation isn’t your thing, but who cares a toss about Bradley when things look like we’re in absolute turmoil and might be appointing Mcleish?

A sensible post would be appreciated, because I, along with most fans feel frazzled to say the least.

    Correction.
    I think I’ve blown a fuse.
