Aston Villa News 24/7The new Nike supplied kit for the 2011/12 is officially being unveiled at Star City tonight, a neat connection to new main sponsor Genting. Of course, the away kit had already been launched and leaked images surfaced on the interwebz last month. The home kit had leaked even earlier, way back at the beginning of May. Seems like a lifetime ago now.
So, more of a confirmation than an unveiling then.
New signing Shay Given is joining Darren Bent, Gabby Agbonlahor, Marc Albrighton and Nathan Delfouneso at the event. Picture gallery from Twitter sources as credited below (more pictures will be added as they appear):

Looks better than the leaked photos. The checks are growing on me and I’ll probably snag an away jersey. Will they have a 3rd this season? Oh – I always thought Albrighton looked a lot taller! He’s only 5′ 9″ or so?? UTV
yeah, i was struck by how short albrighton is and how tall delfouneso is too… taller than given!
tbh, don’t know about a 3rd kit since we’re not in europe. i’d assume it’ll follow the policy of being last year’s away re-branded with the genting logo if they do try to milk it.
Black socks ffs!
we had black socks on the home kit 1877-1881, 1884-1886, and 1924-1957.
that’s 39 years in total.
I preferred the home kit last year (thought the checkers down the sides was smashing). My acorns shirt from 2 years ago is still tip-top….and since this year looks exactly the same (save for the checkered “textured look”), I’ll probably only get the away kit and probably the yellow training top for my runs.
I like that kit.
As said, it’s nowhere near as bad as it looked in the leaks.
I’ll be buying it, no problem.
