The Champions League group stage is complete and we now know the eight 3rd place teams who will join us in the 3rd Round of the UEFA Cup:-

• Bordeaux
• Werder Bremen
• Shakhtar Donetsk
• Marseille
• Aalborg BK
• Fiorentina
• Dynamo Kyiv
• Zenit St. Petersburg

These teams will be drawn to play against the eight 2nd place finishers in the UEFA Cup Group Stage.  Of course, Villa still have to play out the final game in Hamburg on December 17th, but at the moment occupy 2nd place in Group F.

The draw for the 3rd Round will take place on December 19th and will immediately be followed with the draw for the 4th Round.
