Carlos Blogs And Pre-Season To Include A Trip To Dublin
Written by Dan on June 3, 2010
Carlos Cuellar’s website has gone live and it looks like he’s going to be doing a spot of blogging. There’s some content there which I’m presuming has been ported over from a column he had at marca.com and I think he’s also syndicating some World Cup analysis to elcorreo.com, but don’t quote me on that. No idea if he’s writing this himself or employing a ghost writer, but it’s pretty cool all the same. The photo albums are worth a browse and it’s great to get a look behind the scenes in this way.
You can also find Carlos on Facebook and Twitter.
Which reminds me, the one and only Ian Taylor has also just started a Twitter account, so if you’re on there and not following Tayls, go get that fixed right now.
Pre-Season
Did I mention the Wallsall friendly? Probably not. Anyway, another friendly was added to the list today and it promises to be a good craic: we’ll be at Dalymount Park in Dublin on July 24th for a warm up game against Bohemians.
I decided to knock up a page dedicated to pre-season fixtures and results which you can access from the tabbed menu at the top of the blog, the menu in the top of the sidebar or by clicking here. There’s 5 fixtures lined up for this summer so far, I’d assume there may still be one or two more to be announced. I’m missing one or two results from past years, so if anyone happens to know them, drop me a comment or email.
World Cup
Thankfully Villa content is a little thin on the ground right now as I have my hands full with one or two other projects, but you can also find me popping up with the odd post (and I’ve promised a wallpaper or two) at Two Footed Tackle’s World Cup blog, Kwaitoball over the next month or so.
I will continue the season review series as I can, but as time goes on it naturally becomes less interesting. Other major events will be covered, but let’s hope that’s restricted to interesting signings rather than any major departures!
I’ll leave you with another World Cup video, this time it’s the Aussies caught in a uniquely African training session. Enjoy…
