Dwight Yorke Wants To Manage Aston Villa. Dwight Yorke Can Jog On
Written by Dan on January 11, 2010
I couldn’t ignore it any longer and I had to click on an Aston Villa news alert I had which I knew had something to do with Dwight Yorke, but it was in a language I didn’t recognise so I hadn’t rushed in. Turns out it was Icelandic, but the translator in my toolbar let me down so, none the wiser I ended up finding the source at the Birmingham Mail.
I’ve just been looking for the back story behind the interview and it turns out that he’s hawking some book or other, so I’m reluctant to give him any publicity as he’s an obvious troll. Here’s the bit that really made me laugh though, emphasis is mine:-
Ideally, I would love to manage Villa in a few years. I don’t want to be a manager when I’m old. I want to be young, because I’ve seen the changes in football and I’ve had to change myself as a player. I just hope that somebody gives me that opportunity. If it’s not my first job at Villa then hopefully in the future.
Really Dwight? Really? We’re just some little club who will give a n00b manager such as yourself a shot? Dwight knows full well what sort of regard he is held in with the majority of the Villa faithful.
Obvious troll is obvious. Gareth Barry would get a warmer reception, you’ve more chance of a passionate night with the Pope, Dwight. GTFO.
