It looks like Google are accelerating the roll out of Wave, but if you still can’t get your hands on an invite this could be your lucky day. I’ve got no less than 9 invites that I’d love to give away, but you’re going to have to work for them.

I’ve just created a new Facebook profile and I’d like to be your friend, but in order to get a Google Wave invite you’ll need to do a little more. I’ve also uploaded 40 preview images of the wallpapers available on this site:-

All you have to do to be in with a chance to win a Google Wave invite is:-

I’ll approve the friend requests as soon as possible, but don’t worry, the competition remains open until the close of Friday December 4th (i.e. midnight GMT). [Today is Thanksgiving in America, so I might not be confirming too many friend requests today – don’t panic]

You can tag yourself, or your friends, in as many pictures as you like, it doesn’t matter where in the image. You can tag all 40 pictures if you really like, it doesn’t matter to me, but I’d really like find out which are your favourites.

Once the competition closes on Dec 4th I’ll choose 9 of 40 pictures at random by generating numbers between 1 and 40 from random.org. If more than one person has tagged themselves in that picture I will generate another random number in order to pick the winner. For example:-

If I first generate randomly 5, 6, 18, 21, 26, 29, 31, 36 and 38 I would then pick the 5th picture and see who has tagged themselves. If 3 people have tagged themselves I will then generate another random number between 1 and 3 in order to select the winner. I’ll then do the same for the 6th picture, then the 18th, 21st, etc, etc, you get the idea.

If I draw someone who has already been drawn, I will draw again.

I will contact all 9 winners by private message in Facebook. They will need to provide me with an email address in order to have Google send them the invites.

Hopefully this is all pretty much common sense and will cover all eventualities, but if I’ve failed to anticipate something then I’ll just make up the rules as I go along and you’ll like it.

If you missed it above, you can visit my Facebook page here and go directly to the picture album here.

If this doesn’t make much sense or any problems at all, drop me a comment below and I’ll answer your questions as soon as possible.

Good Luck!!

P.S. If you’re not interested in Google Wave or already have it, you can still send me a Facebook friend request. Don’t be shy.
