What does MON say to the team now?? We haven’t played badly by any stretch, but my hopes of a complacent Liverpool team taking to the pitch were unfounded. That said, except for some fine saves from Reina, Liverpool have looked vulnerable enough to have conceded a couple. Carew in particular has tormented the Liverpool back line. Heskey, not so much.

Perhaps MON should send Ashley Young on for the second half?? I’m being unkind, Ash has been completely marked out of the game. Any ball in his direction is quickly seized upon and in possession he’s been double-manned every time.

If I were the manager I’d be massaging Gabby’s ego right now and telling him I’m sending him out for the second half to win it for us. An early goal might well set us up for something. Well, it could happen.

I’m clutching at straws now, we’re in big trouble.

P.S. If I were bringing Gabby on for the second half I’d just like to make it clear it wouldn’t be Curtis Davies I’d be swapping him for!!
