Salifou’s Weekly Round-Up #2
Written by Dan on November 6, 2009
Bonjour!! You must remember me, my name is Moustapha Sali-Salifou, but my friends call me Keith and I’m back for my (not so) weekly review. Hoo-hah!!
Isaiah Osbourne – My very good friend may have been a bit naughty recently, I think that’s why he is always telling me how “gangsta” he is and makes me give him my lunch money. Anyway, he is going to somewhere called Middlesbrough for two months. Seems a harsh punishment to me, I will miss him very much!! 🙁 [Aston Villa News & Views]
Lichaj Sees Red – Speaking of players on loan, Eric Lichaj, who is currently on loan at Lincoln city along with Nathan Baker, was sent off towards the end of the Imps 3-1 loss at Morecambe. I believe the young American has been playing at left back. Baker missed the game through injury. [LCFC]
We have many players on loan – Marlon Harewood (Newcastle), Isaiah Osbourne (Boro), Shane Lowry (Plymouth), Nathan Baker & Eric Lichaj (Lincoln) and James Collins (Darlington). I asked Mr Martin if I could go on loan, but he said he is saving me for a special project. I think I heard him mutter something about decorating, but I can’t be sure.
Delph Gets Call Up – That new kid with the funny accent has been named in England’s Under 21 squad to play Portugal. Tres Bien!! [The FA]
I have to go now, Mr Martin has asked me to help move some furniture in his office!!
Have a good week Aston Villa fans, I hope to be back soon!!
Au revoir
Keith (The Togolese Zidane)
Update: Lichaj’s red card meant he would be suspended beyond the end date of his loan period at Lincoln, so he’s back at Villa. However, the Imps would like him back after his suspension with kills two birds with one stone as there has to be a month between loan periods, apparently.
