Teamsheets: Aston Villa vs Wolves
Written by Dan on August 27, 2011
This is a big, big game for Alex Mcleish today. The last of a run of home games and a derby against an opponent that caused his predecessor so many problems. It’s also something of a “top of the table” encounter and the winner, should there be one, will get boasting rights over the rest of the league for at least a while today.
With Luke Young unavailable, McLeish has opted to start Chris Herd ahead of Eric Lichaj and Habib Beye, neither of whom are even on the bench. That’s the only change from the last league game; the 3-1 win over Blackburn last Saturday. Wolves are also unchanged from their 2-0 win over Fulham last weekend.
We’ve also had confirmation today that agree has been reached with Watford for Jonathan Hogg’s permanent switch.
