Video: Tunnel Cam at Manchester City
Written by Dan on October 16, 2011
I have to admit, there are a number of things that Manchester City are doing very well, better than most of the clubs in the league at the moment. Their website is excellent and the video content they produce also sets the standard for the rest to follow. I’d imagine their budget for this sort of thing is somewhat bigger than most clubs.
They’ve been using YouTube for a while now, recently signing a formal deal with the website, and are clearly aiming to get as many eyes on their content as possible to help fuel the growth they need.
City, just like England, have been putting out these behind the scenes “tunnel cams” from their home games. They’re always pretty interesting, they tend to cover the players arriving, the captains visiting the referee’s office, and the players coming in and out for the warm ups and during the game itself.
They’re always pretty much the same, there’s an awful lot of handshaking that takes place, especially in this one with so many players who have swapped clubs and/or know each other from international duty. Stephen Ireland seems to be of particular interest this time.

If you weren’t aware, there is an Aston Villa YouTube channel and they do sometimes put out some quality content, but mostly the channel just serves ads for AVTV which is available on a subscription basis to non-season ticket holders.
