Wigan Frustrate, But Unbeaten Run Continues

Villa fail to leapfrog into second place after a goalless draw at home to Wigan. Even a strong second half and the return of John Carew couldn’t break the visitors down. Still, Villa remain unbeaten in 12 league games.

Lady luck failed to make her end of game appearance for Villa and Doncaster have earned themselves a trip to Villa Park in February. These are the games the FA Cup can create. Nothing to be overly concerned about, but little to be overly excited about either.
