Fulham fans look forward to not seeing Steve Sidwell play for them

Steve Sidwell has signed for Fulham after being on the edge of signing for both West Ham and Wolves in the last couple of days. He will be remembered as the first real transfer movement for Aston Villa in 2011, an own goal on his debut, that lovely goal at Goodison… and… er, the ability to turn practically invisible at will. I’d say he’ll be missed, but not too many people have seen him enough to miss him.

Sidwell was the first signing of the 2008 summer in a £5m deal from Chelsea, but has failed to live up to the potential shown in a Reading shirt. Fulham fans can now look forward to not seeing Sidwell play for them.

Just for fun, why not see if you can not spot Steve take part in the annual ninja parade:-

Did you spot him? Neither did I… he’s good, isn’t he!

Cheers Steve, all the best.

On a more serious note: I wonder if we might hang on to the newly freed #4 shirt until possible to hand it to someone more worthy… I was thinking Ciaran Clark myself. He could do it justice and make it his own for years to come.
