Man City 2 Villa 0

Not going very well right now is it?? I’m talking about myself as much as Aston Villa – I actually missed tonight’s game (long story). I have it recorded, but not sure if I’ll watch it or not. Maybe tomorrow.

So I can’t comment on the game, but by all accounts it was a particularly dire performance in the first half. Second half, as usual, was better, but not good enough to get anything from the game.

With Liverpool, Chelsea & Arsenal all winning last night and Man Utd winning tonight, it’s a particularly costly loss. MON has 11 days to pick the team up and get them playing again for Tottenham’s visit to Villa Park. After that, it’s the small matter of Villa traveling to Old Trafford, followed by Anfield.

I don’t even want to mention who Arsenal and Everton will be playing in the mean time. Whatever MON does with the next 11 days, it’s going to have to be very special to kick start the herculean effort required to come out of the next three games even in touch with the leaders, let alone among them.

10 games to go. 30 points up for grabs. What was it Alex Fergusson said about squeaky bum time again?!?
